Fluid passes through the flow channels, these sum to a greater flow volume than that of the inlet pipe. The contaminant is drawn into the collection zones by the focused magnetic flux. Refraction of the fluid compacts this contaminant and ensures that it is held out of the flow paths, avoiding wash off.
